I'm not sure to understand your question very well.... I chose my first color for the ground, the main color to me , to make a cold or warm atmosphere. Here it was cold with a grey purple. I always make my sketches with black and white acrylic diluted...after i add colors, never too much and i like to make a strong contrast with some yellow color in the white tone, it's stronger than a pure white.
