Thank you very much for your nice comment, I often paint the end afternoon, between day and night. The light is better, with more contrasts and dark atmospheres. I love the wet street, during or after the rain.
Thanks a lot Lois , I paint cityscapes for a long time. I've painted my first citycape in 1984 when I was a young artist student, it was NYC view done with gouache on paper You can see that in the end of my gallery.
C'est exactement ce type d'atmosphère que j'aime peindre. J'adore la pluie pour faire mes photos, car pendant ou après, elle ajoute de superbes effets de lumières en oppositions aux ombres très sombres. J'aime le contraste. Merci beaucoup
At the first time we came to Montréal to go to the Niagara falls, we just passed close to Toronto and it was very impressive to me... I said in my head "We have to visit this city before to return to Montréal". It's an incredible crazy big city and it was difficult to don't get lost with all these large highways and all route signs... BTW, I was very happy to visit this big city with my camera... wow, the paintings were already in my head, I love Toronto and would like to visit more the beautiful Canada, cities, landscapes, lakes, and mountains, the wild countries etc... . Thank you very much Judy, I am very happy that you are able to recognize Toronto with it's atmosphere.
Thanks a lot my friend Believe me, if I really could make the world better I will do it immediately, but there is too much work and I am busy to paint So thanks a lot to see the world better to live in my paintings
Thank you very much Denis for your nice comment, yes the stillness in the city is impossible, even by night these big cities are lively Toronto is also a good city to paint. I like to paint the perspective but not with long lines, it's why I like to break it, with wet effect or lights, clearly seen cheers
Thanks a lot Wojciech I always try to paint with the same style, but it's impossible, it depending on our mood. In real, you could have seen that was paint very fast, with loose brushes strokes... I've sold it yesterday during the show Lille ArtFair
