Daily Deviation

Given 2010-05-27
Amidst the staggering quantity of realistic urban portrayals, 86TH Street - NYC by *duytter stands out in a quiet manner, each carefully applied brushstroke speaking for itself, as the city breathes a life of its own through precise perspective and a sensational embrace of light and shadow. Dziękuję bardzo Kornellia :rose:
I paint for a long time, I've painted my first cityscape when
I was a young student in an art school in 1984 (21 years old) Now I am 50
years old and always enjoy to do it.
I had my first order for a portrait with pencil, when I was 14 years old...
So their is no secret, we have work a lot, we have to practice almost every day. When I was a young artist student, I practiced a lot the fast sketches, i
drew all what was around me, people, animals, landscapes, architecture, nudes or all things.

Daniel my second daughter Taylor really loves your style of painting very much. I am pretty sure she is a big city girl at heart. She went through your gallery and picked this as her absolute favorite. What is the best way to order a print of it for her? Can you note me and let me know when you have a moment? Thanks, Warren. :D

I listened the canadian radio Aberdeen 106.8 and I also liked
the music.
Here in the north of France we can listen to a good rock n'roll, Pop music
Belgan radio (french language) --> it's "Classic 21" [link]

Radio Aberdeen 106.8 is from Scotland, but here our classic rock station is 92 CITI FM [link]

I added Classic 21 to my Tunin Radio app on my iPhone and I will be listening to it all day today as I travel for work. :-)

Thanks a lot Warren, this 92 CITI FM radio is great, I listen to it this morning
here, it's the night for you and the Rock n'Roll is great.
I added it on my internet page, I will listen to this radio when I will work
on my computer... great !
Classic 21 is very good the week end and the morning (here).
Around 6pm (evening here) it's 11am for you and the rock on this radio is not
good for me, too old, more Twist than Rock, I don't like it.
There is good music after 9pm (2pm for you) and good concerts at 12pm here (5pm for you).

I am glad you like Daniel, I have been listening to that station since it first started.

Last night I had Classic 21 on as I went to sleep, it was wonderful. I have it setup in my phone and tablet now so I will follow the schedule you suggest and enjoy the great music.

I am similar to you in that I am not really into twist, but I like Classic Rock, and I have had the good fortune to see quite a few of my favorite bands in person. I tend to prefer live music to studio, just because there is a more genuine vibrant feel to it, even if it doesn't mirror the studio version exactly.

Have a great weekend, and wonderful New Years Eve!

It's a view from the window of the hotel on the 86th street NYC where i was with my wife ans a friend. The photo was done by our friend with his strange (bad) camera, that help me a lot to paint this atmosphere that i had to imagine...

What fascinates me here is the rooftop perspective on the scene, along with the almost totally obscured street level, where pedestrian life abounds. Seems that there;s a message about something more important than the mere din of urban cacophony. Another outstanding piece, my friend.

the cacophony and this rooftop perspective like we are in
the sky is important to show it ;)

haha people often thought that is photos...but in real
it's worked like a setch very quickely, i real you will can
see the large brushes strokes without details.
For exemple in this painting the black windows are just
a brush stroke ;)
I don't like to paint too realistic, i'm not an hyperrealist painter ;)
even if i like to look at this crazy hypperrealisitc art... :icondenis-peterson:
because it's a human painter with real scenes of life.

You, have bamboozled me. At fist glance I thought it was a simple photo, and I was curious as to what was so special about it. And even at full view I was convinced it was a photo. I had to read the description and look at the top of the buildings (some slightly more brushy parts are at the top) to be finally convinced that you did this with your own hand. Very well done indeed.

All is painted very fast like a sketch during one day ;)

a brush stroke, without details ;)
